(Tree, Herbert Beerbohm) (1853-1917), английский актер, антрепренер и режиссер. Родился 17 декабря 1853 в Лондоне, сводный брат известного писателя и карикатуриста М.Бирбома. Первой актерской удачей Три стала роль викария в фарсе У.Джиллета Личный секретарь (The Private Secretary, 1884). Спустя три года он открыл театр "Комеди" и стал во главе его, но вскоре перешел в театр "Хеймаркет", где успешно играл в пьесах У.Шекспира и Р.Б.Шеридана, а также в новом репертуаре (Женщина, не стоящая внимания О.Уайльда, сценическое переложение романа Дж.Дюморье Трильби).
